As a freelance florist, Jan Faulkner specialises in Weddings, Teaching, Special Events and Demonstrating. What started as a hobby over 20 years ago, has since developed into a flourishing specialised business, offering couples a personal service when planning their wedding flowers. Each wedding is different and unique making couples feel special, relaxed and comfortable. ‘Personal floristry with passion’ is key to all of Jan’s work. A passion for flowers has always been there.
With 20+ years of teaching creative flower arranging for the Adult Education Service, Jan has a great wealth of knowledge and experience. Equally qualified in Floristry, one skill compliments the other. Jan offers a full range of floral services for weddings, parties, special occasions and corperate events. A love of flowers has taken Jan to many International events and her work takes her all over the country at a National level as tutor and demonstrator around the North East Area. Amongst other achievements, Jan is the past President of the area contemporary group, New Dimensions, after being past Chairman, Programme Secretary and North East Education Representative. Jan’s work has also been recognised and featured in the national "Flower Arranger" magazine. Jan has had the privilege to work in stately homes, churches, Minsters, Cathedrals and with some of the top designers in the world.
A noted highlight in Jan's career has been to appear on the BBC programme "Castles In The Country".
Weekly Leisure Classes for adult education and private workshops are held throughout the year. These have a seasonal approach for mixed ability students, from beginners to advanced (Check Gisborough Hall, NAFAS and Judges in the "Links" section). As a National NAFAS tutor, Jan enjoys visiting local area clubs and is happy to travel to other NAFAS areas.

Jan attends and demonstrates at Wedding fairs at both Judges Country House Hotel and Gisborough Hall throughout the year.
